North Devon is blessed with incredible landscapes, wild countryside, magnificent cliffs, scenic valleys, beautiful beaches and the mighty Taw and Torridge Rivers.

The North Devon Coast is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has a coastline which covers 171 km sq of coastal landscape from Marsland Mouth on the Cornish border, in the west, to Coombe Martin on the boundary of Exmoor National Park, in the east.

Although we are renown for our beautiful beaches and coastline North Devon has been an inspiration and home to a number of influential people including Henry Williamson, author of Tarka the Otter, Jonathan Edwards, the triple jump world record holder and artists George Shaw and Damien Hirst

Guiding in North Devon has over 500 members in 32 units, across 3 Districts: Barstaple, Braunton and Illfracombe.  We have Rainbow, Brownie and Guide units in each town, from Chumleigh in the west of our division to Coombe Martin in the east, as well as 2 Senior Section units and a Duke of Edinburgh Award Group.
