Exmouth is a lovely traditional seaside town situated in the East of the County. We have two miles of golden sands, and are a major windsurfing and Kite surfing venue. Up the estuary is the village of Lymptstone; a popular centre for sailing with a strong community centre.

Woodbury is a village to the north of Exmouth with an active village community.  Close to Woodbury Common it is a popular commuter village for Exeter.

Budleigh Salterton has a pebble beach popular with sea fisherment.  There are some superb teashops and it has a great selection of independent shops.

Girlguiding in Exmouth Division

Girls and leaders in Exmouth Division have fun, build brilliant friendships, gain valuable life skills and make a positive difference to their lives and communities.

Our units benefit from being based either close to the sea and estuary or Woodbury Common.  This provides easy access to some great outdoor opportunities for our members.  If you know a young person who is interested in joining us then please register your interest here

There are 21 units in our division, made up of Rainbows, Brownies and Guides.  They are spread across Exmouth, Woodbury, Budleigh Salterton and Lympstone.  We also have an active Trefoil Guild who meet regularly and support the younger members of Girlguiding.

Girlguiding has had a long history in our Division with our Brownie Unit in Lympstone recently celebrating its 90th Birthday and an Exmouth Brownie Unit (based in Littleham) celebrating its 50th.

All our units provide varied and exciting programmes for their members.  In all sections members can work towards badges and awards.  Older members get involved in challenges like their Queen's Guide Award or the annual Hurdlestone Challenge. Many units provide nights away opportunities such as Rainbow Sleepovers, Brownie Holidays or Guide Camps.

We also meet throughout the year for larger events, such as sleepovers or daytrips, we celebrate Thinking Day together in February, when we remember our founder and think of Girl Guides around the world, and come together for the annual Remembrance Service and St George's Day.

Volunteers in our Division are well suppported by our Division Commissioner and we have a lot of fun as a leadership team.  It takes around 40 adult volunteers to keep our Division going so if you would like to join the fun please register your interest here.
