Right in the heart of the City we have the well known Exeter Cathedral.

Exeter's Historic Quayside is one of the most attractive areas of the city, only a 10 minute walk or short bus ride, from the city centre. The Quayside has been enhanced to provide a fascinating mix of historic and contemporary design. It is the ideal place to browse in antique shops, walk and cycle, take a relaxing boat trip or find something good to eat.

The University Campus is another popular part of Exeter with its stunning grounds.

The Ship Inn located in St Martins Lane is believed to have been one of the favourite taverns of Sir Francis Drake.

The Royal Clarence Hotel is a hotel in Cathedral Yard, Exeter.  It has been credited as the first property in England to be called a hotel.  The hotel along with surrounding buildings including 18 Cathedral Yard and the The Well House Tavern were severely damaged by fire in October 2016.

Girlguiding in Exeter

Girlguiding within Exeter is very strong.  We currently have over 50 units giving girls the opportunities to be either Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers.  We have an active DofE Girlguiding Group and with our fantastic connections with Exeter University we are pleased to say we have a SAGE (SSAGO) Group (https://www.ssago.org/clubs/view/sage) that is going strong, and we are lucky to have many student leaders.  It does not end here as we have 3 active Trefoil Guilds across the city.
