In 2026, Girlguiding Devon will once again be a part of the Devon County Show — bringing together communities, creativity, and adventure in one of our county’s most spectacular events. Be more than a spectator — join us in making this show one to remember.

The Devon County Show is one of the biggest and best-loved events in the South West, and in 2026 Girlguiding Devon will be right at the heart of it. With thousands of visitors expected across three action-packed days, it’s your chance to help us showcase the fun, friendship and adventure that guiding offers.

From welcoming families to our stand, to running activities and supporting behind the scenes, there’s a role for everyone. Whether you step up as a leader, sign up as a messenger, or volunteer in another way, you’ll be part of a team creating an inspiring, hands-on experience for visitors — and making Girlguiding’s presence at the show bigger and better than ever.

Getting Involved

Messenger Roles

  • Guides aged 12-15 from all over Devon provide a messenger service to the Devon County Show by helping at lots of different areas within the showground, agricultural and not
  • We sleep on site in the upstairs conference room and have our main meal provided for us.
  • We are self catered for our breakfast and lunch time meal.
  • Have a chance to meet new people, learn about farming in Devon and maybe even meet a celebrity or two! 

  • We are different from the Girlguiding PR stand as we work for the Devon County Show for the three days.
