Plym Division comprises the area of Plymstock, Elburton, Wembury and more recently we have embraced the new town of Sherford as it grows.

Wembury is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Wembury Marine Centre welcomes visitors who enjoy the beach and Rockpool Rambling. Other beaches and waterside locations include, Jennycliffe, Turnchapel, Bovisand, Heybrook Bay, Hooe Lake, Oreston Quay and the River Plym. Oreston has a sailing club for both adults and children and there is a large water sports centre at Mount Batten. Fort Stamford, Jennycliffe has a small swimming pool and gym. There is a large sports area at Staddiscombe with cricket and tennis at Dean Cross and golf at Staddon Heights. The local football and rugby clubs are active and use the various pitches and schools to meet.

The arboretum at Radford Park and woods at Dunstone and Radford are good places to enjoy the outdoors.

Girlguiding in Plym

Girlguiding Plym is home to 228 girls across 13 active units, providing opportunities for Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, and Rangers to discover new skills and build friendships. With access to both the scenic landscapes of Dartmoor and the vibrancy of Plymouth, our members enjoy diverse activities, from outdoor adventures and environmental projects to creative workshops and community involvement.

In Plym, girls have a supportive space to pursue badges, tackle challenges, and participate in local events. Our units frequently come together for special gatherings, celebrations, and projects, fostering a strong sense of community. Thanks to a committed team of volunteers and guidance from our division commissioner, girlguiding in Plym is always excited to welcome new members and leaders.
