Totnes, Dartmouth and Kingsbridge are beautiful towns set in an area of outstanding beauty in the South Hams. All three towns have great shopping if you are looking for that something special, either in the quaint shops or in the markets that are held regularly throughout the year.
Totnes is situated on the Dart River and you can take a ferry all the way down to Dartmouth seeing rare birds and other wildlife along the way.
Kingsbridge is on an estuary and also has ferry trips taking you to Salcombe where it meets the sea.
A great area for walkers with a major part of the South Devon Coastal Way on one side and Dartmoor on the other.

Girlguiding Totnes is a vibrant community with over 130 girls across 8 active units. Offering a wide range of activities, our units welcome Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, and Rangers, each providing girls with a place to make friends, develop skills, and experience adventure in a supportive environment. From outdoor challenges to skill-building projects, every member finds unique opportunities to thrive.
Totnes benefits from its beautiful natural surroundings, which we explore through hikes, campouts, and environmental activities. Our dedicated team of volunteers, led by the Totnes division commissioner, ensures that each girl has an unforgettable guiding experience.
