A Taste of Level 3 Walking
Would you like to...
- Extend your existing level 2 walking skills and gain experience of walking in level 3 country with support from other experienced walkers?
- Complete a logbook walk towards your level 2 or level 3 walking qualification?
- Enjoy a walk for pleasure on the Brecon Beacons?
- Share walking information and experience with other leaders?
- Find out more about the Girlguiding walking scheme?
If the answer to any of the above is ‘Yes’, then come and join us for the Taste of Level 3 Walking Weekend in the Brecon Beacons National Park.
This is an informal walking weekend with no formal training or qualification, although you will have the opportunity to benefit from the knowledge and experience of friendly walking trainers from SWE Region.
The weekend is open to adults and Inspire members with existing level 2 standard (or above) walking experience. You do not need to hold the level 2 qualification but should have level 2 walking experience. For example, have walked in open countryside as defined on page 9 of the walking scheme: open, uncultivated, non-mountainous terrain. This weekend will be ‘hard’ walking and will have plenty of ups and downs on rougher terrain.
