Safer Guiding
For anyone volunteering with girls.
If you’ve been a leader before, you’ll need to complete “Safer Guiding” within 3 years from when you last completed A Safe Space – you can check the date when yours is due on GO.
The course can be completed in whichever of these 3 ways as you prefer:
- E-learning. On the Learning Platform.
- By joining an online webinar. South West England have one per month (2 linked sessions) – check the Learning Platform for dates. You can also attend a webinar offered by another Girlguiding region if you prefer.
- In person – the next Devon opportunity is on 6th April – see details below.
In-person “Safer Guiding” course
When Sunday 6th April – 10am to 2.45pm
Where Trefoil Lodge, Buddle Lane, Exeter EX4 1JP.
Guide wear is optional.
There is no charge for the session. Bring lunch. Travel costs are a permissible expense from your Unit funds. If you are booked onto a first response training at the same venue on the same day you may be able to share transport.
