Honiton Division

Honiton Division's 3 main towns are Honiton, Ottery St Mary and Sidmouth separated by beautiful countryside.

Visit Honiton to see its famous lace or to browse its many antique shops. Make sure you visit on a Saturday or Tuesday to catch the traditional market, which had its charter granted 751 years ago.

Ottery has a famous literary past as inspiration to Coleridge and Thackeray. The most important building is the Parish Church of St Mary, a magnificent scaled down version of Exeter Cathedral. For excitement come in November to see the flaming tar barrels.

August draws 1000's of visitors to Sidmouth to experience Folk Week. The town comes alive with dancers, singers and entertainers from the UK and around the world.

Build sandcastles on the famous Jacob Ladder beach on the Jurassic coast. Stroll around the re-known Donkey Sanctuary for free. At night why not book into the Norman Lockyer observatory and marvel at the Sky at Night.
